REVIEW BEFORE PUBLISHINGA plain-language draft matching how the site and LMS are expected to work. Have counsel review it for the places you operate, and correct anything that differs from what the LMS and payment provider actually do.

What this covers

This policy explains what personal data InfoTech Learning collects when you use this website and our learning platform (the LMS), why we collect it, and what choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account data. Name, email address, and a password hash when you create an LMS account.
  • Purchase data. What you bought and when. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers. [Name the provider.]
  • Learning data. Lesson and lab progress, quiz and practice-exam scores. This exists so you can pick up where you left off and see your own readiness.
  • Technical data. Server logs with IP address, browser type, and pages requested, kept for security and troubleshooting.
  • Correspondence. Emails you send us and our replies.

This public website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The free resources page stores checklist ticks in your own browser only; nothing is sent to us.

Why we collect it

  • To deliver the courses you bought and keep your progress.
  • To take payment and keep the records the law requires.
  • To answer your questions and tell you about changes to a course you own, including when an exam version is retired.
  • To keep the platform secure.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use it for advertising. We will not add you to a marketing list without asking first.

Who we share it with

Only the providers we need to run the service: hosting, payment, and email delivery, each bound to use data only to provide their service to us. [List providers.] We do not share learning data with CompTIA or any certification body; your exam registration is a separate relationship between you and them.

How long we keep it

Account and learning data for as long as your account exists, plus [X] months after deletion in case you change your mind. Purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Server logs for [X] days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the data with it. Write to the contact address in the footer. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honour them.

Children

The LMS is intended for people aged [16/18] and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change takes effect and keep the previous version available on request.
