Legal
Refund policy.
Clear terms, including what happens when CompTIA retires an exam version while you are studying.
Individual courses
If a course is not what you expected, ask for a refund within [14] days of purchase. We refund in full as long as you have completed less than [20]% of the course. After that, or after the window, tell us what went wrong and we will try to fix it.
Career Development membership
Cancel at any time from your account page. Access continues to the end of the month you have paid for and no further charge is made. We do not refund partial months, except the first month, which is refundable in full within [14] days if you have completed less than [20]% of any course.
If the exam version changes mid-course
CompTIA retires and replaces exam versions on its own schedule, so a course you bought may be updated while you are studying. When that happens:
- Your access continues and the update is free.
- You can keep working toward the old version while CompTIA still offers it; we keep the old materials available until its retirement date.
- If the update changes the course materially and you would rather stop, you can ask for a pro-rated refund for the part you have not completed, within [30] days of the update being announced.
Exam vouchers
Unless a course page says a voucher is included, we do not sell vouchers and cannot refund exam fees. Voucher and exam policies are set by CompTIA.
How to ask
Email the contact address in the footer from the address on your account, naming the course or membership and the reason. We reply within [3] business days. Refunds go to the original payment method and usually appear within [5 to 10] business days.
What we cannot refund
- Purchases on an account that has broken the terms of use.
- Courses for which a certificate of completion has already been issued.
